As a parent are you finding it harder and harder to find the time and the energy to pack interesting lunches for the kiddos? Personally the lunches I pack are healthy but sometimes not the most interesting ones. I am so happy that I have the wide world web to give me ideas when I need them. Some of my go-to sites are MOMables, Healthy Child Healthy World and Super Healthy Kids. When I become inspired I've come up with some great choices that I rotate so that my boys don't get bored.

One of the items I love to place in my child's lunch is yogurt. The possibilities are much greater than just a few years ago. Now you can serve up either a yogurt cup, drink or squeezable. I love to throw my squeezables in the freezer so not only are they still VERY cold when it's lunchtime but it also helps keep other items cold.

Things have sure changed since we were kids. I remember having the same sandwich day after day, probably by choice and eating processed foods that were either given to me by my parents or in the cafeteria. I don't blame for parents - who knew that Little Debbies were so bad for you....but yes they were so good too! Now with my own children I want to make sure they are getting the best possible foods out there for their growing bodies.

I want to make sure my own children are getting the best possible foods out there for their growing bodies and YOU should too! One way is to become involved at your child's school and see what they are serving in their school cafeteria. With National Take Your Parents to Lunch Day coming up on October 17th you too can encourage your children and school to serve healthy choices.

My friends at Stonyfield is working with Kiwi Magazine on a fun contest called MY LUNCH TALES. They want to hear your tales about your kids' school lunches. You can enter from now until September 30th for a chance to win coupons and a grand prize of $2,500! Now you could make some really fancy lunches with that money!

In the meantime you can win a fantastic Stonyfield lunch pack from O'Boy! Organic.
