I was invited by 360PR to join a event at the Reading Terminal in Philadelphia to see a demonstration of the new Ninja Cooking System a few weeks ago, and of course I jumped at the chance to check it out. Not only did I get a chance to meet the crock pot whiz Stephanie O'Dea but I also met the women behind the Ninja Cooking recipes and hang with my fellow Philly Social Mamas!

As soon as I saw the Ninja I was hooked, before I even saw any of the cooking demonstrations. This is so much better than any crock pot I've used....and I've used a lot. Not only can you use the Ninja as a slow cooker but it has settings for stove top and oven. That means you can saute vegetables and meats right in the Ninja or roast a chicken but have it moist as if you slow cooked it and keeping the skin nice and crisp. You pretty much get the best of both worlds when using the Ninja.

When I was told that everyone there would be getting a Ninja delivered to their homes it was like having Oprah telling you that you received her favorite things....beyond excited!

For my first meal with the Ninja I decided to try out a recipe from the Ninja Cookbook, that came with the Ninja Cooking System. I was having friends over for a kids book club so I wanted something that I thought everyone could eat. I choose the Mediterranean Chicken with Artichokes and Couscous.

Ninja Video - Don't judge I am not a professional!

It was so easy, and everything was made in one pan. Since my first experience with the Ninja I've now used it many times to cook meals as well as defrost and re-heat meals that I've already made. The Buffet setting is perfect for meals coming out of your freezer. Just place the frozen meal in the Ninja and place it on the "BUFFET" setting. Once it's mostly defrosted you can put it on low slow cooker setting until it's heated through.

I seriously cannot recommend the Ninja enough, it's been a lifesaver these past few weeks and now with the holidays coming up I will use it even more. Thank You Ninja for showing me that family meals can be even easier than I ever thought.
